Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1

  The wait is over - Sony Ericsson has announced that their very pretty XPERIA X1 phone will be available now. The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 features a splendid 3.0 inch 16-bit color TFT touchscreen with a mind blowing 800x480 resolution.

This cellphone has not one but TWO cameras! The primary one is a bombastic 3.2 megapixel camera with 30FPS video recording with a bright flash that would be used for videos and photos. The secondary front facing QCIF camera will be used for video conferencing.

The front features a 3-inch WVGA (800 x 480) touchscreen display , Handwriting recognition, Stylus QWERTY keyboard, Optical joystick... they will all be there.

The other goodies include 3G, Bluetooth 2.1, USB 2.0, wireless LAN 802.11b/g, EDGE and quad-band GSM, UMTS, HSDPA, HSUPA, and HSCSD. Windows Mobile® 6.1 Professional operating system will govern the phone.

The XPERIA will have 400MB of internal memory, which is expandable to 32GB. The phone features an sleek arc-slider design and weighs 145 grams.

The user interface can be operated either by the touch interface, an optical joystick, a 4-way navi-pad, or the QWERTY keyboard.

Connectivity options come in the form of Wi-Fi, 3.5G HSDPA/HSUPA, and aGPS. A 3.2 megapixel auto-focus camera sits at the back. The 400 MB of internal memory can be expanded via microSD cards. The XPERIA X1 weighs around 145 gm and is 16.7 mm thick.
